October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We all know that screenings and early detection are important to preventing breast cancer and treatments of breast cancer. Our generous Bunco group kicked in with checks and cash to make a donation to St. Luke's Elmore Health Foundation to provide funds for those underserved and needing financial assistance to receive a mammogram. Every single cent, dollar and check helps those needing mammograms.
Mountain Home Bunco for Breast Cancer first started in 2004, 20 years ago, as a small grass roots effort to help our neighbors and friends needing mammograms. Just by playing Bunco, writing checks, donating cash, contributing to our large fund raiser which will held for 7 years, and continuing as we did this year in 2024, we are providing needed funds to those that may not be able to afford a screening. We are proud to bring our forces together collectively and hopefully make positive outcome for others.
This year's donation will be donated to the St. Luke's Elmore Health Foundation in Mountain Home, Idaho. A great organization that helps so many.
