What a fun and heartwarming Bunco fundraiser the members of the Officers Spouses Club hosted on Friday, Oct 12th at Mountain Home Air Force Base. We heard from a young cancer survivor about her struggle during the last few years battling breast cancer, raising young children, and having her husband deployed to the war zone. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, and reminded all of us that it takes a village to take care of one another when we are faced with health bumps along the road of life.
They had raffle baskets filled with great gifts, and also several silent auction items, including a slick Pink Cruiser bike. I loved the pink Christmas tree with pink cowboy hat, hula hoop and guitar, even though it was part of the decor, and NOT a silent auction package. I guess we can buy anything if we make an offer, so I walked out with the pink tree and goodies after making a donation. I felt like I struck the Jackpot! Love me my pink Christmas tree!
Thanks to everyone who hosted this very well organized, and fun Bunco benefit. Rose and I had a blast!
